Paper Quality
One of the most striking differences between my fine art album supplier, and your standard online book printer, is in the paper.
High-quality fine art paper designed to last for hundreds of years, unlike standard online book printers whose prints may yellow within a decade. The paper is matte, reducing glare and enhancing print quality.
Ink Quality
There are two types of ink used to print photo books; dye ink and pigment ink.
Instead of cheaper dye ink, the supplier uses pigmented inks, akin to those used in museum oil paintings, ensuring archival quality and color stability. Their 12-ink system provides superior color accuracy compared to the standard 4-ink system used by high street printers.

Producing high quality prints isn’t simply a matter of clicking a button. Behind the scenes there’s a lot going on to ensure the quality is maintained from when I capture your image, through to the ink being laid down onto paper.
